Dual Pathways. One Personalised Journey.
IB Diploma or A-Levels — because every child’s path is different.
At Dulwich College International School Bangkok (DCBK), we believe that educational excellence is not about forcing every student into the same mould. It is about recognising individual strengths, aspirations, and ways of learning — and designing pathways that allow every child to thrive.
That is why DCBK is the first international school in Bangkok to commit to offering both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and A-Levels, within one unified school.
Why Dual Pathways Matter
Children develop differently. Their interests evolve. Their strengths emerge at different times.
Some students flourish in the breadth, inquiry, and interdisciplinary thinking of the IB Diploma, which encourages balance across subject areas and ways of learning. Others excel when they are given the flexibility to specialise, selecting subjects they are most passionate about and wish to pursue in greater depth — a hallmark of the A-Level pathway.
The right choice is often not obvious early on. Interests develop, strengths emerge, and ambitions evolve over time. Many families only discover which pathway best suits their child later in the secondary years, not at age 11 or 13.
A single-pathway system forces an early decision. A dual-pathway system keeps doors open.
At DCBK, choice is not a compromise — it is a commitment to personalisation.
